Juneteenth is a federal holiday in which we celebrate the liberation of the last African American slaves in Texas by American soldiers in June of 1865. It signifies the time when America fulfilled its commitment to liberty for all its citizens. Although our background may differ as Americans, our histories are intertwined. On this holiday, we celebrate the opportunity to stand united in freedom.

We showcase the creativity of our community through Black musical performances, dance, and local art vendors

Freedom to Access Healthcare

We offer a free mobile clinic for vaccinations, anonymous STD testing, and connect attendees with medical-focused nonprofits

Freedom to Pursue Higher Education
​
We spotlight pathways to education with college reps, financial aid info, youth mentors, and a celebration of NAACP ACT-SO scholarship recipients

Freedom to Participate Civic Life​​
We have vendors for political engagement with voter registration booths and political action groups

Freedom to Honor Our Heritage

We have an interactive JFC Historical Display/ Exhibit provided by Clark County Historical Museum, arranged with information donated by the African American History Museum and the Smithsonian

Freedom to Grow Economically

We have several nonprofit vendors that offer job placement, financial literacy, housing assistance, and business start-up support for communities of color and a marketplace of Black and Brown-owned businesses​
Freedom to Embark on a Fresh Start

We have non-profit vendors that provide family services, re-entry services, domestic abuse survivor resources, and support services for foster kids and foster families
